Had a beautiful weekend and got a few things done around the house, which felt great. Got really overwhelmed last night with all the (wonderful and fun) things I have to do to get my art pursuits where I want them by January. I was worried I was going to wake up feeling down this morning but, despite the grey skies, I'm actually feeling ready to take on this week's workload and take it seriously. This shall be a week of focus, positivity and presence.
Also got the show coming up on Thursday, which I'm really excited about (what am I going to wear?!)!
Been working on a new tapestry piece, "Irises by a White Picket Fence" (title up for reconsideration) that is maybe the most realistic embroidery piece I've ever embarked on. Both scary and exciting. That piece and "Finding Home Inside Oneself" as well as two others that are still in the works are actually going to be shipped off to Melbourne, Australia and will be for sale there via an online gallery - more on this soon once it's all official. Will be posting Iris process shots soon! as soon as I get a little more filled in :)
