A little love note to those beautiful blooms that carry us into the fall, the pigments in this piece were made by hand. Some of them are from plants in my garden or from foraged materials, others from purchased powdered pigments. The sides of the panel are painted so that the piece doesn’t need to be framed.

Handmade natural inks (Indigo, Hardy Hibiscus, Purple Pincushion, Logwood, Cosmos, Cochineal and Safflower) on handwoven Arches watercolor paper, acrylic paint on panel.
