The Slow Study of Mosses

365.00

Four 4inch squared hand-embroidered compositions framed in the center of a 14 inch squared frame. Frame is handpainted in off-white. Signed on the back of the frame and on the back of each of the small canvases.

The title of this piece was inspired by the book 'The Signature of all things' by Elizabeth Gilbert - a story of a woman botanist in the 1800's who makes her name and great discoveries on the survival and evolution of species through the slow study of mosses. It's a celebration of creeping olive greens and chartreuses.

This piece has now shown at Chroma Projects Art Laboratory and Second Street Gallery, both in Charlottesville, VA.

Shipping is included in this piece within the United States. If you are outside of the U.S. shipping will be estimated by the artist and can be paid for seperately. Thank you!
